Atomos Shinobi SDI is a lightweight HDR field monitor for the video professional who needs the flexibility of both HDMI and SDI camera connectivity, or the vlogger wanting to take their production to the next level. Connect 4K HDMI for HDR viewing or SDI for HD-SDI loop out. Run cables between Shinobi SDIs up to 100m (328ft) without degradation of image allowing directors, crew and clients to see what the camera operator is seeing in stunning detail. Shinobi SDI's high brightness 1000nit 5-inch monitor lets crew members preview and see images exactly as intended in any lighting condition, in SDR or HDR. Shinobi SDI is our first stand-alone compact SDI-capable HDR monitor for professionals where recording capability is not required. It is built to match your high-end cinema and production cameras and can run all day on a single battery. The Shinobi SDI supports up to 4KDCIp30 HDMI and HDp60 SDI in and out to connect to cameras, broadcast monitors, switchers & recorders. The Shinobi SDI utilizes our revolutionary AtomOS 10 platform, packed with an extensive suite of scopes and one touch simple operations. Shinobi SDI includes monitoring tools for focus, framing & exposure, including Focus Peaking, 4:1 / 2:1 / 1:1 Zoom, Zebra, False Color, Frame Guides, SMPTE Safe Area, Waveform, Histogram, RGB parade, Vectorscope, Anamorphic De-squeeze, new multi-view ‘Analysis’ mode and more. Each feature customizable and interchangeable in size, best suiting the Shinobi SDI user.
With the new ‘Analysis’ mode, view a waveform, histogram, vectorscope while simultaneously shooting all at the same time; ensuring complete control of your image. Try switching between different waveform, histogram and vector scope options on the fly with a single touch; adjusting all scopes with a single touch – simple.
The Shinobi SDI screen utilizes the AtomHDR processing engine to displaying a stunning 10+ stops of dynamic range in real-time from Log/PQ or HLG signals; wide color-gamut mapping ensures the perfect image color is always displayed. Combined with our unique HDR monitoring features, the Shinobi SDI simplifies complexities of shooting Log and HDR, helping replicate a post-production workflow the moment it matters most, while shooting. Apply and compare your favorite looks for your camera or from your post-production team; achieving consistency in SDR or HDR across all shoots. The Shinobi SDI allows you to load internally up to eight custom LUTs, looks or profiles at any time via the SD Card Slot and instantly select between them, maintaining creative intent, always.
Accurate color-representation is key to trustworthy monitoring. Color calibrate your Shinobi SDI for ongoing accurate HDR and SDR (Rec.709) monitoring.* Color and brightness accuracy on monitors drifts over time. Calibration ensures accurate image representation at all times. Designed exclusively for monitoring purposes, the Shinobi requires very low power – either in standby or while monitoring. Lasting round-the-clock on a single battery, have certainty with uninterrupted endurance. Longer monitoring times are covered with the in-the-box free AC adaptor.
